It has been a really long time.

I've decided to try and catalog all of my Armies. I'm going to do that here. This was the place for my Tyranids but they will have to share some and let everything else in. Besides, it makes it easier to eat them...

I know that there really isn't anyone out there that reads my little speck on the web, so this is mostly for me.

But if there is anyone, you're welcome to check out my speck and see how an average Joe plays with his toys.

It's picture day

I decided that I'd take the painted stuff and the mostly put together stuff downstairs and get a few pictures. Here is all of the painted Nids at the moment.

Planetstrike between painting sessions

I'm getting closer to the finish line. I was on a posting spree last month and then went a little quiet. I have been buckling down to get the Golden throne done. I did get in good games of Planetstrike on last Friday and the Friday before that. Thomas and I bumped the point total up to 1750 and each took a turn as the attacker. I don't know if he needs a new Necron codex or I'm getting better with Tyranids but I won both games. I'm pretty sure it's a new Necron codex though.

Trygon and Tervigon conversions

I noticed as I was sifting thru the blogsphere that I’m more apt to click down when the subject is appealing. I’m going to try and be a little more descriptive in my subjects from now on. Not that it matters, I’m the only one that reads this thing anywho.

So here is my teaser. My goal is to get close to the look of a ravener.

But hopefully this is better than finger paints. I sat down this morning and decided to try and get the warriors I started done. They are basically the test figures for the army and I wanted to see how the washes and different techniques looked when done with my hands, instead of someone on the internet.

Stroke of genius

In my last post I talked about the Tervigon and how I'm trying to get it to look like the picture in the codex. I've been thinking and thinking about how to get the Tervigon done and I think my hobbyist ADD finally paid off.

I was sitting at my work desk this morning and looking at the two mostly painted warriors that I'm testing paint schemes on, the three Raveners that need bases made for them, the Tervigon, and the box with the Trygon in it. So instead of finishing anything I broke open the Trygon and started putting it together.
